House For Sale

We have our house on the market at what we believe is a very sensible and reasonable price compared to other properties in the area. On this page you will find pictures of the house, a map of the location (Click here), and an aerial view of the hamlet (courtesy of Google Maps)..

The 4-bedroomed house is located in the hamlet of Hazelwood, just off the A64 near Tadcaster, Yorkshire, and is surrounded by open farmland. It is a converted barn in a group if five such houses, converted about 15 years ago from the original agricultural buildings. The internal accommodation is approximately 2,600 square feet and has four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen, custom-fitted home office, lounge, dining room and conservatory. Outside there are two brick built garages and a well stocked and tended garden, all housed inside a secure electric-gated driveway with parking for several cars.

The house would be particularly suited to a family or couple who need ready access to the motorway network, and the major cities of Leeds and York, but also want a house that is private and secure. The neighbours in the hamlet have all been there for many years and everyone knows each other well, and looks out for each other with an excellent community spirit.

The house is on the market for £475,000 but we are prepared to consider any sensible offer, and are willing to discuss a range of incentives to the right buyer. Although the house is not detached, having been built from the original farm complex, the location and stone construction give the property a very private feel. Detached properties in the area of this size would be priced at several hundred thousand pounds more.

The house is available for vacant possession. We are currently building a new house which will be ready in October 2012, but we are prepared to move out if a buyer needs immediate possession.

Paradise Lane a quiet tarmac lane that leads to the Hazelwood Castle hotel, the farm that owns the surrounding land, and a horse stables. Traffic on the lane is minimal, and although the A64 major trunk road is located close by, the road noise is not intrusive but makes for highly convenient access to all directions.
